Now in the last 22 months I went from 278lbs to 234lbs and keep my A1c below 7. Staying below 7 for most is low enough that you are not damaging your organs. Food was hard but after around 6 months I no longer craved bad food and even when I do have some it now tastes horrible.

For me getting a Libre3 was the answer. I can now see exactly what each food does to my BG in real time. I know some people have all sort of reasons they wouldn't wear one or why they quit wearing one. Personally unless I just put it on I would have to feel the back of my arms just to tell you what arm it is on.
