The poster's statements and inferences are that he purchased the graded/slabbed card before the Covid outbreak.
The United States Covid outbreak did not occur until approximately later February 2020. Thus, the poster is representing that he purchased the graded/slabbed card sometime before 2020. The poster then states that he un-slabbed the card and planned on re-grading, but then Covid occurred. His statement's implication is that SGC graded/slabbed the card before Covid (2020). The problem is that SGC did not grade/slab the card until June 2023, which was just last year and more than 3 years after the poster allegedly un-slabbed it. If SGC graded/slabbed the card in June 2023, and the card is currently raw, this means that the poster unslabbed it sometime after June 2023 - not before the Covid 2020 outbreak, which he stated. That is the issue. I'm just pointing out the timeline problem and am not asserting the poster did anything wrong or is a scammer. He may've simply gotten his dates confused. |

Since I posted the first response to this post, that is all that I was asking about. In my separate PM to the author, I inquired about that inconsistency and indicated that I could be interested in buying all 3 of the cards if the price was right as I would in turn send in to get the cards graded. I asked for a price for all 3 that would allow me to grade and then resell at breakeven or better. Earlier today, I sent a PM to the author and indicated I meant no disrespect in any of my inquiries, but was simply asking about the inconsistency of dates as those inconsistencies could indeed cause people to wonder. I also suggested that the author who did not give me a price could also grade the cards at his cost/grade risk and then sell them himself. The choice was his and I wished him best of luck and left it at that. While I am not questioning the author per se, I am out and no longer interested in pursuing a purchase so anybody else can feel free to jump in and buy if you feel so inclined.
