Thanks! Picked up a couple of collections recently which are really cool and I'm really excited about! Will be sharing some over the coming days/weeks.

Rickey Henderson final career stolen base.

That game was a fascinating 'summary' of Rickey's career. I posted a full write-up in my Facebook Page, "Baseball History through Lineup Cards."

Two of the 50 or so games where Griffey Jr and Sr played together.

Lineup card from 9/11/1949

Game was the 2nd of a doubleheader, as noted on the card.

The game featured many of the Cardinals who remain well known to this day with HOF Red Schoendienst getting a 2B, Enos Slaughter walking before being replaced, Marty Marion walking a couple of times and Stan Musial leading the way with 3 this and 2 homeruns.

Musial and Slaughter would finish the season #2 and #3 in the MVP race (behind Jackie Robinson). Similarly, the Cardinals would finish the season 1 game behind the Dodgers for the pennant.

Perhaps surprisingly, I have come across under 10 lineup cards with Musial on them in all my time collecting these, both live, being sold online and in completed listings from auction houses. This is only the third Musial HR game I have ever come across, and the only multi-HR game I have found.

Obviously they are not nearly as in demand as a Musial HR game bat or jersey, but I am quite confident that fewer HR lineup cards exist than HR bats or jerseys. (For jerseys, obviously, any one that exists was almost certainly worn for multiple HR's.)

Not a line up card but I thought this crowd might find this interesting. Here is one of John Sterling's scorecards from a Yankees radio broadcast:

I shared these around 6 months ago, but sharing them again in light of the awful news that Rickey Henderson has passed away.

Hard to believe that someone so charismatic and full of life is gone at such a young age, but of course, life does not make that sort of promise.

Ending off 2024 with a World Series lineup card.

It's been a slow project that I will never complete, but I've been trying to acquire a lineup card from every World Series. Up to 19 at this time.

Bob Forch pitches the first no-hitter at home for the Cardinals in over 50 years and the first no-hitter at Busch Memorial Stadium (he would go on to pitch the only other no-hitter at the stadium as well).

I was told that Forch is the only Cardinals pitcher ever to throw 2 no-hitters.
