Hey, just a heads-up pertaining to a new TSOG Episode. The latest video features the Pinback Buttons of Joe DiMaggio. Nothing "otherworldly" but some fairly nice examples, including a pretty rare one.
Below is the link, and many thanks for checking it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsTBSVVtis8

Not a pinback buttons per se, but I’m counting it!
Found this in an obscure, online auction: A circa 1935 Post Cereal, Dizzy Dean pin. I love the rare, oddball, vintage baseball stuff that’s out there! Keyman did a nice write-up on these - keymancollectibles.com/pinsbuttons/di… |

The Dizzy Dean pin used to be fairly common, and cheap, but like everything else has no doubt gotten "collected up" to the point where you don't see it as much. It's very cool.

Very true, Hank. I always feel that 90-year-old, mail-in, cereal premiums are going to be hard to find anyway, so I felt very lucky when the seller said that he had this one. I really love the stuff made in this era.

Thanks! There was so much cool stuff made before WWII that I’m always finding something that I hadn’t seen before myself.

Just in the mail got this (maybe?) one of a kind beautiful Cranes Potato Chips Coupon With Red on the front alongside 4 of the pin designs. I have dated it to 1951-1955 based on the Indians logo and the fact red was traded early in 1956 (hat hes wearing was only worn until 1955)
What makes it even cooler is the hand written notation on the back, it was Written by hobby pioneer Buck Barker and came from his personal collection. He mentions Jefferson Burdick, unfortunately I'm not sure what RS means. (Red Schoendienst? Or maybe an abbreviation used by Buck) I have seen the Yankees and the Indians pins from a friends collection but have not seen the cardinals or Dodgers ones yet.
