That's a great looking vintage pennant. I know we have some contributors who can say more about rarity (it's rare, I just don't know how rare) and possible value. Might help to see the tip.

Quite rare and desirable... especially if the tip is still in tact.

I thought it looked good, too, but was waiting for perezfan to weigh in...he's much more an expert on the truly vintage stuff than I.

Some great pennants guys. bandrus1 did you buy that 1933 Tigers pennant?
My latest pickup isn't as exotic but it's a nice clean example. 1970 Senators.

Nice Gary! That's got to be one of the rarer Picture Pennants of the '60s - 70s. Nice clean example.... congrats!

I did not as these are not in my wheelhouse but I know who has it and I'm going to try getting it at the end of the month There is a crazy $ on a cleansweep result for one but my guess is it's an anomaly |

Thanks guys. The photo is fixed cleanly (I'm guessing with an adhesive). I far prefer that to staples.

Absolutely LOVE this. Don’t know of any ASCO team picture pennants besides this one and a bunch of Twins.

Bought this out of curiosity the other day, to learn (with the much appreciated help of a board member) that this dates to 1908-10 based on the Spalding tag. Detroit Tigers? Missouri Tigers? Will never know I suppose. Though I’m not sure if college pennants with only the mascot name were ever a “thing”.
Mr. Domer, what do you know about Spalding pennants? Last edited by thetahat; 02-09-2024 at 03:29 PM. |
