Are the 52T Ed Mathews RC’s the most overpriced of all mainstream cards on ebay?

Eddie is my favorite player and I was finally willing to take the plunge and buy his 52 Topps RC a few months ago. I bought a PSA 3(MK) and I'm glad I got it when I did. There's a 2 selling for about twice what I paid. Not sure why the sudden surge in prices.
