The reality is many dealers only take cash.
Others will take Venmo and stuff but you need to hope the reception is good to be able to do the transaction Last year in Vegas I spent all my cash then I wanted to do Venmo and luckily it was a good sale for the dealer because we had to go outside of the main room and close to the windows to get reception to do the deal. Checks are not accepted by many unless they know you or know someone that they trust that can validate who you are. Last year I also did a deal via check and luckily the dealer and I both knew one of the auction house people that I have done business with And scary or not I saw a transaction go down for over $150k in cash at the National last year
