The 1978 Topps Atlanta Braves

The set includes 29 Braves images, excluding the Bobby Cox paint job, but including the Junior Moore paint job.

The team photo was snapped in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium on May 3 - the day after Chaney returned from the DL and the day before Barry Bonnell came from Richmond when Joe Nolan went to the DL. Montanez is in the image even though he was on the DL, and active roster members Jerry Royster and Don Collins are absent for some reason.

Many images were taken at Candlestick during 5/27-5/29, 7/8-7/10, or 9/12-9/13: Niekro, Montanez, Ruthven, Burroughs, Royster, Niekro LL, Gilbreath, Bonnell, Easterly, Pocoroba, Paciorek, Camp, Campbell, Chaney, Rockett, Correll, Capra, Solomon, Nolan, Belloir, Gaston and Moore.

Asselstine was taken at Shea 6/21-6/22 or 9/2-9/4.

A few were recorded at the Braves' facility at Municipal Stadium in West Palm Beach in the spring - Messersmith, Matthews, Office, Murphy and Mahler.
