Re-stitched tagging and lack of identifiers make it clear if the seller thought it was a Ted Williams gamer, there would be authentication (Dave Grob) performed and included. I give AMI credit for strongly suggesting it is a "no-name" gamer.
Here is what is concerning to me. The title and description changed after it was listed and the bids had it at $10k with more bids than it shows now, then it dropped to $5k and now it's at $2,376 which leads me to believe that bids were retracted. The size of the jersey has shrinkage and doesn't match the size on the tags which is concerning. This statement: "This style of Boston Red Sox creme-colored flannel was also used for the Minor Leagues as well, during this era." is of concern as well. Does anyone know if they issued the same number for minor league players? And if so would they actually allow a minor leaguer to wear a #9 jersey?
