It looks like "Badger" Harper also got a few pointers on catching from Roger Bresnahan while he helped out the Cardinals before reporting to Shreveport. The Cardinals were in Harper's hometown of Little Rock for training in the spring of 1910 and were short on catchers, so he helped out for a couple of weeks. He was with some pretty good company.

Thanks gentlemen. Nice work. We know he was a catcher that was named Harper and he played for Shreveport in Spring Training. He was a native of Little Rock.

Thought I found the catcher Harper from Little Rock. Unfortunately he would have been only 7 years old. No wonder the other players picked on him.
