One of my favorites from my collection. Does anyone know the best way to handle these when shipping to an auction house? I am thinking about consigning some of my better ones but most are matted and framed and under glass. This one and a few generic pennants I'll keep for the game room. My dilemma, for lack of a better word, is it seems I am the only one that appreciates the pennants and the little ones feel restricted in an area they want to be able to play in. Is it a game room (a place to have fun) or Dad's baseball museum (no ball playing allowed!).

I would not ship them framed. The glass could break, and it would cost a fortune to ship. I would remove them from the frames and ship them one of two ways.... 1. Flat, within a plastic sleeve and sandwiched between rigid cardboard 2. Loosely curved around the inner perimeter of a large box with peanuts or bubble wrap in the center for support. I would not roll them too tightly, as the painted graphics can crack if bent too severely. Hope this helps and best of luck! |
