Bob Lemke was a fantastic designer of "cards that never were." Here's his '51 Bowman Paige.

You had to see Paige pitch (with his double-loop wind up) to appreciate him.
I was fortunate to see him pitch when I was 10 - 11 years old.

Seeing him pitch must have made a big impression. He’s definitely an American hero! I would have loved to see him play, especially against DiMaggio or Williams when he was in his prime.

I have a Pittsburgh Exhibits Paige in a psa 4 and it has become one of my favorite cards. A real unicorn for sure!!
