Unfortunately none of the autographs I can see look any good, not Lazzeri, Lary, Ruffing, Sam Byrd, any of them, which is unfortunate. Don't bother sending this to a TPA- it will be a colossal waste of money. Hopefully your Dad didn't spend a fortune on this.
Another point worth mentioning is that as each generation passes on, they often leave collections to heirs who don't want or appreciate them. It might behoove all of us to spend some time going through our collections at some point weeding out inauthentic items, so when the inevitable happens, our heirs get the benefit of our hobby and and not the heartbreak of learning the best stuff in our collection was fake. |
