Picked these up between mid-December and late January when it became apparent that I wasn’t going to be able to find representative cards of these players as easily as I’d thought while I was putting it off to work on a pre-war project over the last few years. All were brazen FOMO overpays. A couple already seem like reasonable buys, even bargains.

Wow Lucas, beautiful centering on every single one of those. Great pickups!

You’re right. Just excited to share. And watching other cards slip away like everyone else. Cheers.

I finally picked one of these up. I likely over paid for a BVG slabbed card but the card is pretty and it was much cheaper than a comparable PSA 6 so I’m happy.

Default Monthly Pick ups

Great additions so far guys especially like Mike`s Reggie and the entire group you picked up Lucas. Fairly quiet for me lately but did acquire one card on my 2021 want list. Thanks to Dan Mac for working with me on this 1952 Berk Ross Mantle, wanted one for a while but like everything else getting to pricey. Happy hunting and keep them coming...

Nice Mantle, I have never been able to hold onto one. I’ve had the 53, 56, 58, 61 and 63 at various times over the year. As soon as they were in my hands something else showed up and I sold/traded them as they were so easy to move. I don’t think I could ever fit any of those in my collecting budget now.

Great cards all around. I went for that BVG Aaron for the same reason Mike picked up his Reggie (a nice card is a nice card), and my final FOMO buys were three Berk Rosses. I would have loved to have included the Mantle in that group, but . . . well, maybe one day. Well done.

Same reason I went for BVG on my '67 Aaron. The night I bought it, a raw one that was centered better with Greg Morris ended about an hour later. That one wound up going for about $120 more than what I paid. I can deal with moderate OC, since mine has pretty tight registration, print, and coloring.

And here they are. One silver lining of the recent card price inflation is that I discovered this set. I wouldn’t have looked seriously at it if the 48/49 Leafs for these players hadn’t doubled (tripled?). In hand, they are awesome. Their slapdash nature is charming, and they feel suffused with “oldness.” The tinting is reminiscent of some of the old caramel cards — E94, E98, etc. I love them.
