Guys, thank you for the kind words! I am a tad intimidated posting here about vintage because I've only been a true connoisseur of vintage cardboard for the past couple of years, whereas many of you all have been at it for decades. Some for before I was born! There are issues that I don't even know about that you all have been pursuing since before Canseco was even a rookie. I truly appreciate you all.

Thank you! Believe it or not, the Cobb was actually picked up earlier in the year. I did a video because I didn't think I had ever shared it on its own before. I do love it! In 2019, I had a bat off, and may go for another eventually. Those 2 Cobbs are my favs in the T206 set ... that are attainable for me, at least!

I haven't conversed with him in years, but I am friends with some of his friends, so I'm able to keep in touch that way. I'm able to hear word about how he enjoys my work, so that's fun

True story! Your response reminded me of how frustrated I get with an app of a certain restaurant around here. Every time I order (we get it once a week on Sundays) there is a problem. Last night I ran into the issue that they removed all past orders so we couldn't just quickly submit it. First world problems, for sure. Such a dumb thing to be upset about, but I think the server issue on this card wipes out anything else in the past that happened technology blip wise

I keep my favorites very handy. Maybe it's time to thin the heard and focus on the things that really inspire me. I actually did that several years ago. I had 225 different poor to good T206s. I sold them and moved toward G-VG Obaks and autographs. Haven't looked back yet. Might do it again on a bigger scale. Appreciate you, man.
Good luck to you! I actually did a podcast yesterday about this very thing that can be heard here: https://anchor.fm/tan-man-baseball-fan/ - rebuilding collections are super fun, so long as things being sold aren't going to be regretted down the road!

Perhaps someday this will change? Rising tides lift all ships, right?

So the maple crispettes...the churchmans...the shonens...the sanellas/bulgarias/WWG's...should all be more appreciated...or should they not?
Thanks, and, very cool! I think "rising tides life all ships" is perfect here. Some of the non-american counterparts have a lot of room to grow. Especially when the new blood in the hobby realizes cards like the Sanella Babe can be had for the price of a hobby box in many cases. It is a beautiful card (as are many others) and can only go up. I am a firm believer that the Goudeys and World Wide Gums have a lot of room to grow also.
