Baseball as art
When I see an artist, I grab their advertising card. If the vibe is right, I request an autograph. Having no space for large art pieces, this is an alternative for me. I also enjoy sports card dealer business cards. Many of them display nice art in addition to their business information. For me they are today's trade cards.
Here are a couple of Artists autographed promotional cards. Hopefully this fits in with the subject matter.
