Hi,
PSA recently authenticated an inscribed Mantle ball for me (# AH12875). I'm curious about the rarity of the inscription - Seems like from the pool of available examples, his inscriptions were all over the board, with "No. 7" being one of the more "common". Are certain phrases more desirable in the industry than others? The ball I have is personalized to "Bill", which is obviously not a rare name, but I have not seen a "Keep Hopin" like this one before. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The ball itself is pretty banged up and the auto has been shellacked, but I do enjoy it. Thanks Last edited by Oglethorpe; 09-16-2020 at 08:55 PM. |
