Thank you. I have read Reader's "Inside T206" - definitely required reading on this topic.

I recommend The Glory of Their Times to anyone who wants to learn about baseball's place in American culture. It is must reading for collecting t206's. I have also enjoyed SABR's Deadball Stars of the National League and its companion, Deaball Stars of the American League. These sorts of books tell you who was who, and who wasn't.

I highly recommend a book that is seldom talked about...." The Year They Called Off the WORLD SERIES "....by Benton Stark.

It's an excellent, well-written story of the 1904 BaseBall season. I won't go into detail, that's left for you to read. The season's ending is classic.

Plus what is very interesting, as you read this book, you will feel most of the familiar ballplayers in the T206 set come alive in your imagination.

Deadball Stars of the National League & Deadball Stars of the American League. 2 books. Loaded with in depth bio's of many of the players from the deadball era. The write ups almost give you a feel for being there as you learn about each player.
