Are there any good, large, in-person card shows that are actually going to happen in the next few weeks?

In the next few weeks, I dont think so, my schedule in the fall is Sept.(Boston) Oct (White Plains) Nov (Boston) and the National in Dec. Time will tell if these shows happen.

It isn't that soon, but the Dallas Card Show has a three day show scheduled for August. They are usually 3-4 times a year and we just had one of them a couple of weeks ago.

There was a show in New Hampshire this past Sunday. Seemed to go well. Lots of sellers and buyers. It’s a choice to attend and it appeared the buyers and sellers seemed to enjoy themselves.
Kudos to the promoter for giving collectors and sellers a choice to attend a show. Last edited by bigfish; 06-29-2020 at 07:18 PM. |

Sounds like it’s still a few weeks to months before things get back to more regular shows. I have called a few of the promoters of local shows that still show as valid on the Beckett show calendar and all have said they they are deferred until later.
A Net54 show thread would be cool.

We moved our Adat Chaverim show to November. Hopefully we won't have to wait until 2021.

It’s stupidity like this which is why this country still has a major COVID problem.

There was a small show in Madison WI yesterday. I didn't attend, but a dealer friend of mine said that he was the only dealer wearing a mask. The majority of customers did wear a mask. He said the size of the crowd was insane for this show and they were spending money freely.

I wouldn't plan on attending any major shows until 2021. Until we have a handle of this plague, I'll do my buying from online auctions and the BAY.
