Brooks Robinson and the Baltimore Orioles

In the hot Baltimore summer of 1975 my mom called me in from outside to tell me I had to go to the mall for back to school shopping. You can imagine I didn't want to go and leave my friends as we enjoyed the last few days of summer vacation. We went to Hochschild's department store and on the 2nd floor sat Brooks Robinson signing autographs for kids. I can remember him asking my name.That was about it! From that point on I was a huge Brooks fan. When I got home I showed every kid in the neighborhood. What a great memory!

That's a great picture on the Columbia Pictures 8 mm film. That film had the best ending didn't it...

I know there are several in your grouping that I don't have; likely most of them. The postcards from those years are real tough to find and rarely do I ever see them for sale. The first time I saw them is when you showed them to me; didn't even know they existed...

Please keep an eye out on Brooks postcards for me since you already have them all!
