I finally got around to reading this book. It was excellent! Lots of good info in areas where I didn't know much. If I had a complaint, it's that there wasn't enough info on the 1903 World Series. Would have been nice to hear how it came together as I'm sure Pulliam had at least some input, given he was the NL President at the time. That's a minor complaint in an outstanding book.
Side note: I'm always amazed at how unruly baseball was at the turn of the century. So much mob behavior from players and fans, so many suspensions, and so on. Last edited by Tabe; 12-29-2019 at 10:50 PM.
