Already posted in the REA and Cobb threads but this beauty arrived on Thursday and I was blown away at how nice this card actually is in person. The pictures really don't do it justice.

I have always wanted a great looking CJ Cobb without breaking the bank and this card has more than surpassed what I ever expected to find.

This card has four sharp corners, near perfect centering and bright bold beautiful colors and fits like a glove in the holder. The card was taken from a scrap book and has just a small minor area where the print and card back was lightened when removed from the book but doesn't show even a trace of paper loss.

I was actually surprised it received an altered label because it's an extremely small area on the back where just six letters appear to have been lightly traced over leaving a slightly green hue. I thought this could have possibly even garnered a numerical grade with a MK qualifier.

With the amount of card doctoring that has taken place in the hobby, i would much rather have a beautiful example like this rather than a questionable card sitting in a high grade holder at a hell of a lot higher price.

Default Farmer Vaughn

From REA. A welcome year-end addition to my collection. (FYI: photo is from when I was considering a trade for the very same card, which obviously didn't pan out and was a real nail-biter ,with collector some astute BMs will identify based on the thumb alone). Happy Festivus!

Default The best Bobby Thomson image I have ever owned

Merry Christmas to me! I have never liked card #6 in my '52 Baseball Stars set. I have had two different images in that spot, but neither was "52ish"
I pounced on this 4x5 negative from 1949. I always try to be spot on with the dates of the images I use when making cards, but this one is too awesome.
