I've always thought the M101 set was underrated. There are very few sets that included actual contemporary photography of legendary players who are most often depicted in illustration. Yet their cards from this set routinely sell for far lower prices than their illustrated contemporaries.

Always thought Delongs were way less popular then they could be. Nice color. Not too hard to find, with only the Gehrig being much of an wallet pincher.

When you boil things down, it could be argued that all PreWW2 sets besides T206, Cracker Jacks and 1933 Goudey are underrated.

The fine pen and wide pen premiums. Lots of star power, but not too pricey. Plus great photography.

Agree with T205 as very underrated, but the set is certainly no secret. The prices are moving up substantially.
M116 and T3 are close behind. |

E98s with green backgrounds. Their scarcity was even reported in today's WSJ:

38 Goudey Heads-Up
My favorite. Simple (48 cards) and some big names HOFers. Great set

As for sets that are underrated, except for that Dale Ball guy, the Shotwell cards are underrated.
