Opinions on this Joe Dimaggio

I know these opinion threads get old (sorry about that), but I recently acquired this Joe D being pretty confident that it was authentic, but then somebody recently said it looked "off" to him.

Any Joe Dimaggio experts on here who can share their 2 cents on this piece?

Thanks! I thought so too, but that second opinion I got from another collector worried me. I admit, I have some difficulty spotting the fakes in many DiMaggios, Mantles, and Williams (probably the 3 most common names that get posted on these threads for 2nd opinions).

while I like it, I hate it. I think it's real but the "Jai" is the signature the forgers try to replicate and it's a rarity. I prefer my Dimaggio's signed "Joe" with the e continuing to the D.

Thanks, Chuck. I've noticed that "Jae/Jai" often as well.
