My delivery box also had a hole. The box is much larger than the catalog, and the catalog was turned so that the side opposite the spine was resting against one side of the panel flaps, and between the spine and the other end of the box was a gap of multiple inches that had a scrunched up section of paper. The long side panel in the area with the scrunched up paper was where my gaping hole was, so no harm no foul.
Still, lopsided packaging like this can cause shipping issues. As a note, REA does pack their auction items with extra care. Brian
