It has been awhile since I collected post 1900 books, but what I remember about this item is that it was first available in 1914, both for sale and given free
for subscriptions and such. I recall seeing ads from 1914, and I would not be surprised they continued to be available for several years. There were a number of different covers, most common seemed to be with Walter Johnson on the cover, which was pink. I think there a few other color covers and at least one with the pitcher’s names, but no photo. I think the contents were the same, but again, it has been awhile. I used to think they were very undervalued at 10 to 20 dollars, but I am sure they are more now and probably not as common.
I am pretty confident in the 1914 date as the introduction.
