Robert (vintagebaseballcardguy) is going to read this and be disappointed in me!

No focus really with 50's - 70's HOFers, mostly mid-grade PSA. I buy what tickles my fancy, sometimes selling later to finance something new that I've decided I want more. I tried late in 2018 to get into pre-war Cubs and still have a few, but have already sold off some of those that I bought rashly in efforts to finance new post-war Topps cards of the larger names. Not sure why I try to fight it; it's clear that's where my heart is.

And let me just say if you need to move a card quickly for cash, boy there really is no name quite like Mickey Mantle...

I am definitely other. I am sort of like the odd uncle in the closet. I mainly collect what no one else collects, even among Olympic collectors. I collect original photos of American Olympians. This includes all types - press, studio, personal - high school portraits and even baby photos. It is not just photos, but also RPPC's, negatives, glass plate negatives, magic lantern slides and transparencies (slides). I also collect items related to Olympic photographers - vests, credentials, photographers tickets, patches. I have about a dozen vests and I acquired many of Neil Leifer's Olympic tickets. I am not a big ticket collector, but I will pick up ones that I find interesting - 1960 Ice hockey gold medal game (the original miracle on ice), 1984 Women's marathon (oddball ticket as it is a gold medal event that had a start time at 8:30 in the morning), 1972 Israeli memorial ticket (most people do not realize what this one is).

John, I could never be disappointed in you because I am the most rudderless collector I know! I had purchased a few prewar cards at the same time you did and, like you, have sold them. I am back in 1950s baseball and 1960s football. This is my focus until my focus gets blurry again...

Currently working on the T206 HOFers (minus Wagner and Plank) in grade 2-4... at around 60/74. Should be doable this year, though the Green Cobb prices are discouraging.

I've got 2 cards left for an e95 set (Cobb and Cicotte).
Then I am at a bit of a loss on what to do next. May post a new thread in the future asking for suggestions Tentatively thinking E94 or very slowly grab some expensive singles I have my eyes on (1914ish Grover, 1932 Lefty Grove, maybe a t206 Walter Johnson)
