I agree with Steve and believe this cap post-dates Greenberg’s Tiger days (based on style + Tagging).
It could be the uniform number “46” written on the brim (the 4 might have smudged or the ink possibly elongated from sweat). Cap is likely circa mid 1950s. You can check Baseball Almanac to see the Tigers’ players who wore #46 during the 1950s. That would be my first inclination. Last edited by perezfan; 01-06-2019 at 04:54 PM. |
