Like many have said, if it's from a historical Pioneer in the Hobby, then I do think it's of interest and I find it adds an extra bit of enjoyment to owning the card.
Also, truly significant finds like the Black Swamp and Lucky 7 were major events in the Hobby, and I find that provenance of interest, too. Lesser finds -- meh -- they happen all the time. It smacks of desperation to make the find out to be more than it was. I could get some cards labelled the "Grandpa's Attic Find", but not sure that's really of value...
