1949 BOWMAN cards with SLATE backgrounds

No sweat, the 12 variations in this set you are referring to were part of the regular printing. Illustrated here is my simulated 7th sheet, in which Bowman included these 12 cards to fill out their last 36-card sheet.  So, collecting the SLATE cards are just a whimsical challenge to continue the hunt for 1949 BOWMAN's. TED Z T206 Reference .
