1) I would not have expected the card at auction to have gotten MC instead of OC.
2) The MC on your 1952 could be on the back, if any part of another card is showing or cut off. Or it could be because of the tiny sliver of a left border you have. 3) No, if you asked for NQ, you might have gotten a 3 on the one on the left and a 4/5 on the one on the right. Each grade has its own rules for centering when not including qualifiers. You can find the guidelines on PSA's website, but they don't/didn't always follow them exactly over the years.
