One of the things that attracts me to the game of baseball is the numbers, especially those that are so bizarre that they may have happened only once or twice in the game's entire history. Fernando Tatis hitting two grand slams in the same inning is one of those perfect achievements that happened once but perhaps never will again.

And some of them are obscure. I remember a game many years ago where Bert Campaneris (I think?) went 0 for 4 but still managed to score 4 runs. And I thought how incredibly difficult is it to score four times on an 0 for 4 night? Maybe it happens once every 25 or 50 years.

So when I discovered that Johnson managed two unique 26-7 games, well that falls right into my wheelhouse.
