I think some of these error/variation cards are due to a broken plate, and other times, I think simply something got in front of the plate (spec of paper, etc), and blocked a full printing.
As previously mentioned, I was the first collector to submit the Nodgrass variation to PSA, and had to write a letter explaining the error. They slabbed it a 3, this was around 1998, I sold it in Lelands a year or two later. Last edited by MVSNYC; 04-19-2018 at 01:24 PM.
