That's ridiculous. You think they would recall such a special item. Soups kinda suck, verify laser signatures, rubber stamps.
I've gotten auto's in person at the National and didn't want a TriStar sticker on the cards so brought them to the PSA booth for encapsulation and two were rejected (out of 25+) lol. I had photographic evidence (and I think my dad had a video) of them signing my exact card with the inscription they made lol.
