I think you are probably right, Jerry. Would not surprise me at all... especially in the case of the Spalding Pitcher.
It was very well wrapped and protected. Never understood how that one could break so badly, as the box was not dented, and the trophy had at least 3 of bubble padding all the way around (supplemented by plentiful peanut pack). Oh well... onward and upwards.
