AWESOME accomplishment so far! Some of the cards in the high 200's are really difficult to find. The Clemente is a BEAST - one of the most difficult of all Clemente cards. Good luck in the continued hunt.

Thanks, Howard. If getting to 114 was like climbing the Matterhorn, then nailing down the rest is going to be akin to conquering Everest. Some expensive and almost impossible cards remaining, a few of which I haven't even seen come up for sale since I started this set. A challenge, but a fun one. And I almost gave up and considered selling this set a few months back. Glad I changed my mind.

Default A Nice problem to have!

This doesn't happen everyday! I had purchased what would become the PSA 3 about 1 1/2 years ago, and was just never impressed with it enough to send in for grading. After hunting for a better example and finally giving up, I relented and submitted it with a free voucher that I still had so I could use it in my registry set. About 3 days after I sent it a good friend offered me the PSA 3.5 that he had just upgraded, I of course jumped on it, thinking mine was probably only going to be a 2 or possibly 2.5. My son is now very happy as he has inherited my PSA 3 for his collection.

Wow that's awesome, congratulations! While both technical grades are correct, I don't need to tell you that the eye appeal is much greater on the 3.5 !

Bought a lot of 47 1964 Venezuelans a couple of weeks ago with the idea that I'd keep some and resell the rest. Here are the 15 I decided to keep. Scans are from my brand new Epson V550. Lol you'll see me point that out a few times. I'm psyched about the scanner.

LaRussa and Lolich are RCs. Lolich should be an upgrade over my PSA 1(mk)

I'm starting to get into these, I got a couple of nice lots of 1962-1964 Yankees. I get that Beckett is a "guide" but how out of touch are their prices on these? VG and up copies are especially off, NRMT '62's book $20? I'll take any that anyone has for that every day of the week. From what I see on Ebay they basically don't exist over EX.

Most of mine are PR-G, got them in lots. The '62's were about $5 each and the '64's were a steal at $2.50 each including a Berra and a Maris.

99.999% of VZs are gonna be PR-G, but, to me, that's what's so cool about them. I wouldn't trust beckett, or anyone else who attempts to price them out. It's a buyers market for sure, because they just aren't in demand, which is great for guys like you and me. I will say, if you are ever looking for a particular card, be patient. I can't tell you how many good VZs I've attained at a low price because I waited.

I collected the entire run of Braves VZ base cards, took me about two years. It was incredibly fun, and I enjoy looking at them, flaws and all.

Also, join Yahoo's VZ group. I was able to make some deals on some VZs through there.

Good luck!

These prices are normal for the grade and years. Rick
