Thanks for the heads-up, Dennis, and for posting the link, Joe. It was a good interview. I love hearing (or reading) from people who knew personally baseball players from the 19th century.
I was very friendly with Ed Weyhing, the nephew of Gus and John Weyhing. Ed would visit Gus regularly when they were both living in Louisville. He had some great stories about those visits. Unfortunately, Ed died recently. I'll miss talking baseball with him. |
