Top priority
- #5 type collection of all numbered sets, 1880-1980 (~700 total) - Have all the "easy" MLB/MiLB #5s (~600), so have moved into more esoteric sets & discoveries - Latest #5 hit was 1951 Packard Sports Library, a 4"x6" sports pamphlet series printed as promo material for Packard dealerships. #5 profiled the 1924 Giants/Senators World Series, won by Muddy Ruel's dash from second in game 7 extras. Next level - Baseball & non-sport 1930s sets by Goudey and its competitors. Some of the best art, players, and non-sport subjects in card history. In parallel, I'm researching the history of Boston-area gum and card production. - Master sets: 1935 Goudey (for the puzzle backs) and 1936 Goudey (for the flipping game) Third level - 1950s sets - 1960s Post - 1970s Laughlin/Fleer - Oddballs with distinctive design or fun vintage baseball info
