"True Story..." While I was Station'd in San Diego, I Had a Good Friend with this Illuminating Name! Upon His Transfer from the Submarine Tender USS McKee... I Had a Female Shipmate Standin Watch wit me early am! And Get THiS... Her Last Name was Seaman & So She Went By "Seaman Seaman" ... At About 0700 I Had Her Announce Petty Officer "Mike Hunt Departing" (She was Completely Oblivious to what she was doing!) And Of Course that morning at Chow She held a Standing Ovation on the Mess Decks fir a Good Long time! The Laughter Continued All THaT DaY! Once She was Told of Her Mornings Entertaining 1MC Announcement (The 1MC is the Ship~wide Communication System So the Entire Crew of about 1200 was Made Aware of it's Contents!!!) "Seaman Seaman's" Peachy Pale White Minnesota Beauty Was Covered like a Strawberry fir Good Long While!!! Needless ta Say I Paid a Small Price Fir GiViN Her the Order to Make Such an Announcement... Well Worth the Beginning of the Day After Duty & a NiCe Send Off to a Good Ole' Shipmate InDeeD
