Great looking Yogi Ray. I can see why it was calling you.
That is a sweet Aaon AO. I have never seen one before. Thanks for posting.

Just received this Willie today. It was calling me as I am closing in on my run of Willie Mays Topps cards.

Default 54 mays

JB-- there are 2 versions of that card. The one you posted and one where there is a "white band" on his forearm. The latter is less common but not scarce

I was outbid on that card! Nice pickup.

Al, I have been looking for a presentable mid-grade example, and the "white band" always bugged me. Never knew that it was a variation ....

nice Yogi, Ray!

Al, thanks for the information on the variation. I actually do have that variation and thought it was a flaw. Love these boards. Always learning something new.
Here is the variation.

Default Variants

I think most would say it is just a print defect rather than a true variation ( inentional change in card), although it is virtually impossible to tell if any particular print flaw was intentionally addressed. But there is no doubt there are two "versions" of the card, and the fact it is Mays makes it more interesting...to me anyway

Amazing Mays all a round . I've had my eye on that yogi as it's more appealing
Then his rookie .

That 54 Mays is outstanding - beautiful card all around. I picked up a couple of new cards this week that surprisingly did not have the name Mantle in them

Man, you guys don't quite with the outstanding pick ups! Aaron, Musial, Mantle, Mays, J. Robby, Berra (both) and Brett are all FANTASTIC!! Congrats to all.

I've been feeling a little nostalgic lately so I've been picking up some childhood favorites. Been very satisfying indeed.

I love the 71 Clemente. I call it The Pensive Clemente. I call the 72 card The Magic Clemente!
