That's the story I got from him a week ago and it hasn't changed. I would also go as far to agree with him that eBay put him in a bad situation allowing the same person, with most likely the same paypal, mailing address, and IP address to bid and manipulate his auctions. Any illicit bid can and does alter an auction, whether it was a new high bid or not. And does so even more when it is near the end of the auction, which these bids were. This guy's story seems to line up. Just my 2 cents and intuition.
