I'm guessing the one shown in the Pete Abraham tweet quoted in the second article was the prototype, which looks ok except for putting his head on a Pedroia body.
The one shown later would be the "as delivered" product, and while I don't go for everyone being offended by everything, yeah it's not acceptable. The supplier will just have to teach the workers to follow directions and not overdo it with the paint. (Heavily edited as the original was not at all PC either, then re-thought and changed again, this is the 4th or 5th version an a couple minutes and I'm not changing it! ) Steve B
