Chase is not holding a HOF trophy. The HOF did not exist for another 20-25 years until after that card was issue.

If Chase was taking 5/1 odds on making the HOF he was being pretty optimistic given the HOF didn't exist. One of like the modem players who have incentive bonuss written into their contract for winning the MLB Dvisional Series MVP. They don't award an MVP for this series so these players have no way to earn that bonus today. But MAYBE someday. So they have their agents write it into their contracts.
