I'm no expert on the subject, but when they use insurance replacement value it's always higher than it's market value. I don't know the insurance theory behind that, but that's something I've noticed.
They also sometimes use 'retail value' or 'what it would sell for in a gallery' which of course is not what a normal person would get. |
