I found out of my father's passing at H&S while writing a lot for an upcoming auction. I rushed to meet up with my mom, his wife of nearly 49 years. It was then I realized my 9 year-old daughter's Christmas chorus concert was in just a couple of hours. She was also very close to her grandpa and learned of his passing while at school. I was a couple of minutes late (dang, traffic), but I knew my pop wouldn't have wanted me to miss that event on account of him. Never saw her smile so widely.

My condolences. I lost my Dad nearly two years ago. It's something that you never really get over.

James,
I am really sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My Dad passed away a little over 17 years ago (12/15/98) and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. It sounds like you two had an outstanding relationship and had many great memories and for that you are blessed. My thoughts go out to you and your family and all of his friends. Best wishes, Scott
