Unless I'm missing something, the original poster never actually mentioned Wheatland in his post...

It seems like a reasonable solution would be to disclose the shipping fees up front.

I won one lot(350 count, $100 worth of 1970's cards), we shall see what they want to ship it. Reasonably would be $8-10 which would cover all of the mailing plus insurance. I suspect it will be $20+ and I factored that into the bid AND passed on many other lots due to the unknown shipping.
