Henry Johnsons and W514s from Leon/Heritage, D304 from Bob Lemke. This is the exact card that was photographed for the D304 entry in the Standard Catalog, which I think is pretty cool.

Thanks to Luke Lyon and Scott Gross, I am on my way with Polar Bear backs. I now have a whopping 5. My first one was graded. After receiving these, I am not so sure that I don't love them more ungraded and natural. I'm sure I will have graded and ungraded as I go but there's just something about them outside of the slab...

Default Heritage pick up

I picked up this Exhibit from Leon's auction yesterday. Thank you Leon!

I love this card. It features a young Dimaggio at the start of his career and Gehrig wrapping his up. Kind of a Yankee Passing of the Torch card. I'm not sure if they share any other cards during both of their playing years. Anyone know of any others?

Default Thanks Leon:

I was able to pick up this magnificent trio from Leon's Type Card Auction:

The 1904 WG2 Fan Craze Eddie Plank is my second different Plank card;

The 1923 WG7 Walter Mails Game - Walter Johnson is my second 'Double-Walter' from this set (the other being Mr. Mails himself);

The 1904 Allegheny Card Co. - Joe McGinnty is my sixth Allegheny and my first Hall-of-Famer from this one-of-one set.

Thanks again - Leon

Great pickup bud! Thats a tough card to get. I just sold the Dimaggio original photo used for that card to a buddy. He buys photos used in cards then will buy the actual card. He does a nice framing job to them to display them. He had a really tough time finding that card. Its not one that you usually can find on ebay.

There is another card with Dimaggio/Gehrig which was made released in 38'. Its the 38' exhibit 4 on 1(Dimaggio/Gehrig/Dickey/Gomez)

Default Gehrig/Dimaggio

Thank you. That's interesting about the photo/card collection your friend has, Lewis. I imagine he has some T206 cards based off of Charles Conlon photographs as well?
