Don't feel for the consignor, they are just as at fault. When you consign something watch for it the second it goes live and tell the auction house about any image or copy corrections/additions. 9 times out of 10 they will add/adjust.

Congrats on getting it for an incredible price, especially in that condition. I always wondered how it would be displayed. Could the box be safely hung on a wall or if its more suited for sitting on a shelf ? The wooden box gives it a framed look .

True, but who's the professional here, the auction house or the consignor? IMO this lives with the AH.

Great pickup Scott and what a price. Here is a picture of mine I have hanging on my wall, it is from Dr. Mark Cooper himself. The cell phone photo does not do mine justice, it is practically flawless.
