Default 1962 White Sox TV Special

Bruce Roberts, sportscaster for local cbs affiliate in Chicago visited Sarasota, Fl in the Spring of 1962 to do a feature on a rookie Chicago White Sox pitcher, Joe Horlen. Entitled "Portrait of a Rookie', the program aired on April 6 that year.

Below are a few pics shot during the filming (originating from the camera of Don Wingfield, I believe). Bruce Roberts is shown in front of the retail store behind the camerman. The baseball scenes depict old Payne Park in Sarasota, Fl.
