The James A. Garfield National Historic Site is a half hour east of town: http://www.nps.gov/jaga/index.htm

For those with an extra day or two, Cuyahoga Valley National Park is worth a visit: http://www.nps.gov/cuva/index.htm

Another update for the Capitol Theater. Was just there last night with my dad to see the 50th anniversary restoration of "A Hard Days Night". F*ck*ng AMAZING.... It was originally only supposed to be there this week, BUT they decided to extend it for another week.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday showtimes of 4:10...

Haven't been to the Garfield house since I was a kid. Pretty strange since I drive by it 3 or 4 times a week, and take the kids to the accompanying park at least once a week. Last I remembered it was pretty cool.

Also, I noticed someone mentioned the Cleveland Orchestra. I believe they will be playing at Blossom that weekend too. http://www.clevelandorchestra.com/

A great website is www.beermapping.com Under the City Beer Maps pulldown, find Cleveland. Then when the map comes up, click the Yellow, Green, and Brown icons in the legend - that will leave only the breweries on the map. That should keep one busy while in Cleveland!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned League Park, the home of the Cleveland Indians from 1891 to 1946 (renovated in 1910). The city has just finished a revitalization of the park, including a new baseball field, refurbished the existing 1st base side grandstand wall, and are currently renovating the ticket building. More information here:

Now that the National has arrived, and many of you are either now in Cleveland or will be arriving in the next few days, I figured I'd give this thread a bump, just in case anyone is interested...

Just trying to make everyone has the opportunity to get the most out of this city...
